DPS SCHOOL NEWS AND EVENTS
Northern Wairoa Athletics will be on the 2nd December at Ruawai College.
All children who are eligible to go will be informed after the school
athletics. A form will be sent home with these children which must be
returned before Monday 2nd December. We will need parents/caregivers to
help out with transporting children to Ruawai.
LUCKY BOOK ORDERS
Please remember to fill out children’s Lucky Book order forms correctly.
I still have items at the library that have no names on the forms.
Only for children who participated in the DARE programme and are interested
in being involved in the Christmas Parade with Constable Lambeth. Please
let Miss Phillips know by Monday.
Due to our library stock-take all children must return their library books
to school by Monday 25th November. All lost books must be paid for as

the price of A4 books to $1.50. As of today we will not be restocking
any stationery until 2003. Glue sticks can be purchased locally.
The school athletics is on the 28th November and postponement day will
be the 29th November. The Athletics will be held at Selwyn Park.
The dental team will be back at DPS on the 21st November. Ph 439 8321
OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS
MARSDEN BAY HOLIDAY CAMP
Marsden Bay Holiday Camp will be having a Children’s Camp in the
School Holidays at Marsden Bay Youth Camp, One Tree Point Road, Ruakaka.
January 5th–10th for children aged 9—13years. Registration

CHRISTMAS TOY APPEAL
The Bank of New Zealand is collecting new and used toys to help families
in need in our community. All toys will be donated to charity to be distributed
throughout the district. Please drop your toys into the BNZ before 4.30pm,
Parent information evening for 2003 new enrolments has been moved to Thursday
28th November, 2002 at 7pm at the Intermediate School Hall.
