SHOWDAY
Cake Stall
Cake boxes have been sent home this afternoon with children. No brought
cakes please but money in lieu of cakes will be greatly accepted.
The cake stall will start at 10.00am in the hall please take all cakes
to the hall in the morning.
Juniors
The Junior syndicate will be doing their steeplechase/obstacle course
at approximately 11.00am on the school field.
Animals
All animals will be across the road from the Police Station which parents/caregivers
can see at anytime in the morning. The grand parade of all animals will
be at 12 noon.
Lunch
Lunch will be at approximately 12 noon and the following will be for sale
in the hall: Ham sandwiches $1, sausage sizzle $1, moro bars /chocolate
bars $2, ice blocks and drinks $1. The bell will go at the end of lunch
to signal all classes are open to view all activities. All children must
go to their classroom after lunch and line up outside. Once the children
have been around all the classrooms with their class they may go home
but please let their teacher know.
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to our own Northland Swimming representative. Taryn Gillespie
has been chosen for the Northland under 10 “six centre meet”
in Hamilton on November 8th. Well done and we wish you all the very best
Taryn.
DENTAL CLINIC
The phone number for the dental clinic is now 439 4065. If your child
is not enrolled please enroll for free dental care.
KIDZ NITE OUT
Friday 31st October 6.30pm—10.00pm, at the Dargaville Primary School
Hall. Games, dancing and supper. Refreshments for sale, drinks $1 and
chips .50c. All tickets are to be pre-sold and are available from Mrs
Bennett-Galo at the school. There will be no door sales. Cost is $5.00
per child and $3.50 thereafter if more than 1 child in family. For all
8 to 12 year olds only. Doors will close at 7.00pm and will re-open at
10pm. Children will not be allowed to leave the hall unless accompanied
by an adult. This is a kidz nite out not a Halloween party.
LIBRARY
Helpers are desperately needed to cover books. You are welcome to cover
the books at home if you prefer to, just come in and collect the books.
WADE CONCRETE
Many thanks to Wade Concrete for donating the concrete used to secure
the soccer goal posts.
OTHER NEWS AND EVENTS.
JUNIOR CRICKET
Junior cricket will start on November 1st, 9.00am at the Intermediate
School. For all Primary and Intermediate children wanting to play.
BAPTIST JUNIOR YOUTH GROUP
Saturday 8th November: Heated pools at Whangarei along with a bush walk
and tea at McDonalds (or similar). Meet at the Baptist Church at 1pm.
Cst $3.00 plus money for tea. A permission slip will also be needed for
this trip.
NORTHLAND SMILE WEEK
In association with Northland Health Public Dental Services on 17th November
2003. To increase awareness of personal responsibility for oral care.
HEALTHY MOUTH-HEALTHYBODY.
Children are being asked to design a poster portraying a positive and
health message. 3 age group categories:
Yr 0-3, Yr 4-6 and Yr 7-8. Fantastic prizes to be won. Entries to be handed
in to the school office by the 3rd November.
KAIHU VALLEY PLAYCENTRE
Do you have a preschooler? Kaihu Valley Playcentre enrolls all children
aged from birth to six years. We welcome the whole family to participate
in the Playcentre experience offering you three free visits. Sessions
are Wednesdays from 9.30am to 12.00pm at the Mamaranui Hall. All enquiries
