The PTA meeting has been postponed this afternoon and will be on the 13th
October at 3pm. The Fashion Show held on the 20th September was a great
success, many thanks to all who contributed in making it such a success.
DPS PRIZEGIVING CUPS
Please return all cups to the office.
Please check your drawers for any DPS Blue or Green T Shirts. There are
several missing still and they are urgently needed.

Saturday are to meet at 8.45am sharp

SUN HATS WANTED
The school would appreciate any spare sun hats you may have at home.
All show day registration forms for calves, goats and lambs need to be
back at school by tomorrow, Thursday 9th October. We desperately need
5 parents to help as stewards on the day of 30th October. Please phone
the school office and leave your name. All pet projects should be worked
on and ready to be handed in on the 28th October

All donated books handed out to take home over the holidays are to be
returned to the Library asap.
It is the parents/caregivers responsibility to contact the school if your
child or children are absent from school. A phone call is all it takes
phone 439 7255.
There are still a lot of consent forms to be returned, without these the
dental treatment can not be done. Please return asap.
ADDRESS & PHONE NUMBERS
Please ensure we have any updates on new addresses and phone numbers also
mobile phones. It can be very frustrating trying to get hold of people
when it is necessary for a sick child to go home.
Middle syndicate are collecting empty 2 litre drink bottles if you have
some at home please send them into school.
Due to continued wet and cold weather , the growth of the Sunflowers has
been very slow so we are running about two weeks behind our scheduled
date. The nursery where they are being grown also apologises for this
delay. At present we are looking at around the 20th October.

BAPTIST JUNIOR YOUTH GROUP
Friday 10th October, games night at the Baptist Church 7.15pm. Cost $2
WEARABLE ART COMPETITION
The Rotary Club of Dargaville are wanting any children or adults interested
in entering their wearable art competition to collect an entry form from
the school office. Perhaps during the holidays some thought can go into
creating an outfit. It is for wacky, way out and novel creations either
glued, stapled and sewn together. Creations will be modeled at the Dargaville
Town Hall on Thursday 16th October 2003, commencing at 7.00pm.
Reliable High School Student, experienced with toddlers and small children.
References available, can baby sit evenings and after school if required.

ANGLICAN SPRING FAIR
On November 8th in the Dargaville Town Hall, the Anglican Church is holding
its annual Spring Fair. This year the theme is “Nautical”
with main emphasis on Fish. We are going to decorate the stage with a
large fish net and attach colourful fish. We are asking primary children
to make colourful fish and have them displayed. Each fish will be given
a lucky number for a lucky number prize. The fish are to be dropped into
Glorias Flowers before Nov 8th.
MULTI CULTURAL PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL
Te-Kopuru School invites you to join in a day of celebration and sharing
of cultural performing arts on Saturday 11th October at Te-Kopuru School.
Powhiri will be at 9.30am.
A fun day for the whole family with Stalls galore, café, iceblocks,
raffles, hangi, sausage sizzle and drinks.
