PTA NEWS
We have our annual garage sale coming up next term. Any unwanted items
you happen to come across in the holidays please put aside for our big
fundraiser. Next meeting 23rd July, 3pm in the staffroom.
PTA PIZZA DRIVE
Thank you to all who placed Pizza orders we have had a great response.
Pizza’s will be delivered tomorrow Thursday 3rd July and can be
collected from 2pm —3.15pm in Room 14.
DPS JMB NETBALL
Many thanks to the PTA who contributed towards the funding of the new
Netball Uniforms worn by DP 7 Up this year, the girls look very smart
in them. There will be no netball for 3 weeks, it will start up again
on 26th July.
SCHOOL PHOTOS
Good news, we have sent the proofs back for their final cut, and hopefully—the
photos will be here by the end of this term. This year the photos have
been processed in a lab in Australia, this has contributed to the delay.
DENTAL CLINIC
Did you know? Children should not have a snack or have sweet drinks before
bed (the sugar turns to acid and stays on your teeth all night.
BOARD & STAFF MEMBER PROFILES
Each week we will be profiling our staff and board members.
This week we introduce to you
Carolyn Dudley:
Carolyn teaches in the senior syndicate and started with us at the beginning
of the year. She has previously taught at St Josephs for many years. She
has three children and her husband Jack is the Senior Sergeant in Dargaville.
Carolyn has been actively involved in the Northern Wairoa Netball Association
having played and coached at higher levels.
DPS TALENT QUEST

and Tristan Hayes.

DARGAVILLE SWIMMING CLUB
The following are days and times for winter training and coaching at the
Dargaville High School Pool:
Monday & Wednesday morning—6.30—7.30am with Lucy Heller.
Tuesday afternoon 4.00pm with Janet Froggatt. Wednesday evening 6.00—7.00pm
with Lucy Heller. Friday evening 6.00—7.00pm with Michelle House.

JUNIOR YOUTH GROUP
Friday 4th July. Progressive Dinner—Meet at the Baptist Church at
6pm for a great evening of fun and food. Cost $3.

FISH FACTORY YOUTH GROUP
Kids night out Friday 4th July 7pm at the Baptist Church. Movie “Recess”
G rated. Gold coin entry and refreshments for sale.
CORNERSTONE ROOTS REGGAE BAND
The band will be at the Lighthouse Function Centre on Saturday 5th July,
starting 8.30pm. Tickets on sale for $20.00 at the Noise Co., Victoria

CAPTAINS CABARET BALL
Pouto School PTA invites one and all to a magical evening of entertainment.
A three course meal that’ll tantalize the taste buds. Dancing for
all fitness levels, a wonderful night full of fun and laughter. On Saturday
26th July from 7—11.00pm at the Pouto Waikaretu Dining Hall. Tickets
are Adults $20 and children $5.00 phone 439 5251.
HOPSCOTCH
On Saturday 2nd August Dargaville is having a day of fun, energy and inspiration
created by Kaipara Women for all women. Hopscotch is coming to town. There
will be workshops to attend, a lunch concert with guest speakers and performers,
a womens Expo in the afternoon. Look out for more information available
from 7th July at Dormavilla and Bags Plus.
SKYCITY
Cadbury Land comes to Sky Tower these holidays so Scotty Sky Towers got
a free Holiday Pack for every kid. It’s full of activities, giveaways
and a colouring competition with Cadbury Land Fun Packs to be won. Theres
also heaps of free entertainment from 10am—4pm daily, 5th—20th
