DPS NEWS.
PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS
Parent teacher interviews will be on the afternoon of June 20th & 21st. The school will be finishing early at 12.30pm on both days, please arrange for your children to be collected. Appointments for these 15 minute interviews to be held in your child’s classroom are being taken at the school office.

LIBRARY
Do you have an old small fridge that is no longer working. The library would like one for display purposes.
IRON BRIONS ROADSHOW
On the 8th June the “Iron Brions Roadshow” will be at our school. This is a healthy eating programme in which the whole school participates. We require 3 parent helpers to assist with the healthy food which is given out as part of the programme. Thank you to the three parents who have offered their assistance.

ADDRESSES & PHONE NUMBERS
A letter has been sent home with the children this afternoon regarding details of addresses and phone numbers that we have on file. Please check these and return to the office if any changes are to be made.

OTHER NEWS AND EVENTS.

MOBILE EAR CLINIC
The clinic will be outside Woolworths on Monday 20th June from 9.00am to 3.30pm. For all children, especially pre-schoolers. No appointment necessary just call in for all glue ear assessments, treatment of discharging ears, grommet checks, wax and foreign body removal.

FISH FACTORY JUNIOR YOUTH
Movie 7pm, DBCC, Friday 3rd June. Come and check out a great family movie on the big screen with your Mum, Dad, sis, and/or bro, and have a great evening. There will be a canteen for purchasing sweets, drinks etc. Money raised goes towards our Waiwera Hot Pools trip. Contact Jeff or Diane 439 4338.

DAVIS DYSLEXIA CORRECTION PROGRAMME
The above programme has produced some life changing results for dyslexic children and adults, and is now available in Northland. This programme gives participants the strategies to overcome difficulties (academic, behavioural, self esteem), discover their latent talents and make positive changes in their lives. BAGGIN THE DRAGON
Last week we sent home coloured leaflets regarding participation in the Numbers Up! 2 Baggin’ the Dragon™- New Zealand Community Software Plan. The closing date for orders is 10th June 2005. Please return your orders to the front office so that we can collate the orders and send them to “nh software”.
Room 18 is trialing this programme. If you wish to view it, drop into Room 18 and the children will be happy to show you how it works.
