DPS NEWS.

NW JMB NETBALL
Netball will be commencing on the 9th April 2005. All teams, coaches and umpires are to assemble at The Dargaville High School Netball Courts before 9am. A draw will be given out then. April 9th and 16th will be grading days and competition will start on the 7th May.

SCHOOL FEES
School fees are $35 per child for the year. This helps towards your child’s extra educational needs which are not covered by ministry funding. The fee is due by 31st March 2005 this is tax deductible.

PTA NEWS
Delicious Pie Sale!
For a limited time we have delicious “Dad’s Pies” for sale. At $15 per tray you will get 16 Standard or 12 Gourmet pies. The pies are frozen and each tray has a random selection of pie fillings. Watch out for our flyer with full details and order form which is being sent home with the children soon.

SCHOOL PHOTOS
School photos are being taken by “Sharron Booth,” a photographer from Whangarei. Class photos will be taken as a whole class group. The photos come laminated and named. Individual photos of children can also be taken for $10, you receive 2 identical 15x10cm prints. No family or group photos will be taken. If you have more than one child at the school please fill out a separate form for each child. Payment needs to be returned with your form and has to be back at school by 13th April. Please make cheques payable to Sharron Booth.

SCHOOL HOURS
Many children are arriving late to school in the mornings please ensure your child is at school before the bell rings at 8.50am.

SCHOOL PHONE
Use of the school phone is for emergencies only. It is not available for phoning home for forgotten things eg. homework, togs, musical instruments or to arrange playing at a friends house after school.

ABSENT CHILDREN
It is the parents/caregivers responsibility to contact the school if your child or children are absent from school. Phone 439 7255

SWIMMING CAPS
The office has once again sold out of swimming caps. We will not be restocking again until the end of the year, however they are available at the chemist for $3.00.

OTHER NEWS AND EVENTS.

NETBALL COACHES COURSE
An Introductory Course for Netball Coaches. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and learn the fundamental skills of netball. Held at Dargaville High School on Wednesday 6th April from 6.30pm—9.15pm. Cost is $25 and this includes a resource book. If you are interested there are registration forms available from the office. Registrations close on the 4th April.

JUNIOR SOCCER RALLY DAY
Saturday 9th APRIL at Selwyn Park Field 9.00am. For all boys and girls aged 4 to 12yrs. Come along and join in the fun. For more information phone Adrian Humm 021 189 0253.

TANGOWAHINE SCHOOL MONSTER
MOTORBIKE TRAIL RIDE
Tangowahine School are holding their motorbike trail ride on Sunday 24th April 2005. Ride begins 13km from Dargaville on SH 14, turn up Tangowahine Valley Rd and follow the signs for 6km to the start on Youngers Farm. Enjoy riding a 90km loop through Tangowahine Valley & Forests. Cost is $25 per bike. Must bring your own bike, safety helmet (compulsory) and fuel , 2, 3 and 4 wheelers are welcome. No pillion passengers. Food and drinks will be available to buy all day. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Registration is 8.30am. Enter and ride at your own risk. Please check in when completed the course. Start, finish and lunch at the same place. Enter and ride at your own risk.
