HOW TO DRUG PROOF YOUR KIDS
An education, prevention and intervention programme developed by “Focus
on the Family”, Australia and adapted for use in New Zealand since
2004. It is motivated by the increasing drug problem amoung young people
and the frustrated attempts by parents to steer their children away from
the harmful use of drugs. The programme runs for four 2hr sessions over
4 weeks, on Wednesday nights beginning 9th March at the Dargaville Intermediate
School. The course is for parents and caregivers of children aged 8yrs
to teens. Through this you will learn how to be more effective at influencing
your children’s choices in relation to drug use. The cost is $20.00
per person and $30 per couple. This cost covers the purchase of an excellent
parent manual which you will keep for future reference. If interested
call into the school office to collect a brochure containing more information,
or phone Bev Hopkins 439 7433 evenings.
