GENERAL KNOWLEDGE CHALLENGE
Congratulations to Chris Bell, Manuhou Fowlie, Daryn Jeffery and David
Andrew who won the challenge, well done boys.
BIBLE
Bible on Thursday from 12 —12.30pm in the school hall for the Senior
Syndicate.
TALENT QUEST FINALS
Mrs Bennett-Galo regrets that once again the Talent Quest must be postponed
due to ill health. The Talent Quest finals will be after the school holidays,
the date yet to be finalised. Sorry for any inconvenience.
LUCKY BOOKS
The Lucky Book orders will arrive the first week of Term 4. All library
books not returned must be handed in asap.
DENTAL CLINIC
Did you know? An electric toothbrush is between 11-15% more effective
at removing plaque from our teeth than a normal toothbrush. An electric
toothbrush can make tooth brushing more fun for kids and some even come
with timers—cool because two minutes is best. Anne & Sarah.

WEEK 1
Monday 20 Sept
TE ATARANGI STUD DAY - Arrive at Dargaville High School Gym for a day
of fun. We will have gymnastics coaching, pirates, munchies or the bag
and competitions
Tuesday 21 Sept KAIPARA DISTRICT COUNCIL- WHANGAREI- We have a great day
planned – Leave Dargaville High School 9am and have a fantastic
morning at the Advocate Gym, Rockwall climbing, lunch at McDonalds and
end the day at the Aquatic Centre. We will be arriving back at the High
School at 4pm. (Don’t forget to bring your togs, towel and extra
money for McDonalds).
Wednesday 22 Sept HARTS – MINI OLYMPICS - Join in the fun! Will
you win gold, silver or bronze? Choose a country to win a medal. Games
galore! Be into win and join us at the Dargaville High School.
Thursday 23 Sept DARGAVILLE MOTORS FORD GYM DAY - We have a great fun
day planned. Mission Impossible at Memorial park, arts & crafts, human
draughts and games. Let’s complete the day with Who Dare Wins….
Friday 24 Sept MCBREEN JENKINS GYM DAY - Meet at the Dargaville High School
today for a day of team competitions. Bouldering, badminton and non-stop
baseball, complete the afternoon with cooking

Monday 27 Sept
TE ATARANGI STUD DAY - Arrive at Dargaville High School Gym for a day
of fun. Were going to play Indoor Strategy Tag, Unihoc competition, cooking
and Who Dares Wins.
Tuesday 28 Sept MCBREEN JENKINS STRATEGY TAG
Yes It’s back again. This is a fun game using paintballs. We will
be leaving Dargaville High School at 11am, making our way to Mangapai
and returning by 4pm. Remember to bring old clothes and extra money if
you want extra balls. This trip is limited to 12 yrs + and costs $40.00
per person. Registration must be received by Friday 9th July.
Tuesday 28 Sept MCBREEN JENKINS GYM DAY - Join us at Dargaville High School
Gym for a full on day of games, Pirates, gymnastics, Munchies or the bag
plus a load of other exciting things.
Wednesday 29 Sept DARGAVILLE MOTORS FORD – GYM DAY
We have a great day planned – Tennis coaching, games, latest video,
popcorn and competitions.
Thursday 30 Sept HARTS – GYM DAY - Another exciting day. Bouldering,
non stop baseball, badminton coaching, and heaps more. Let’s end
the day with Munchies or the Bag….
Friday 1 Oct KAIPARA DISTRICT COUNCIL- WESTGATE (AUCKLAND)
Leave Dargaville High School at 8am for a awesome day of Ten Pin Bowling,
lunch at Burger King and the latest movie at Village Sky Cinema
We will be arriving back at Dargaville High School at 5pm. The cost for
this trip is $40.00. (Don’t forget to bring some nibbles, drink
bottle and money for lunch at Burger King)

WEARABLE ART COMPETITION
The Rotary Club of Dargaville are wanting any children or adults interested
in entering their wearable art competition to collect an entry form from
the school office. It is for wacky, way out and novel creations either
glued, stapled and sewn together. Creations will be modeled at the Dargaville
Town Hall on Thursday 14th October 2004, commencing at 7.00pm.
WANTED
Pet lamb required for calf club. A devoted 5 yr old girl desperately needs
a lamd to love and look after for show day. Please phone the office and
leave a message for Mrs Vincent.
DARGAVILLE KEAS
Starting on 5th October for all boys and girls aged 6-8yrs. Tuesday 4pm-5pm
in the Scout Hall, Onslow St. For more information ring Denise 4390074.
