DENTAL CLINIC
Some products such as dried fruit have no added sugar but are concentrated
sources of natural sugar. These products can also contribute to tooth
decay, especially if consumed between meals. Below is the sugar content
of some dried fruit. Apricots 6 halves 2.5tsp sugar
Dates 6 whole 3.8tsp sugar
Prunes 4 whole 2.4tsp sugar
Raisins 2 small pkts 3.6tsp sugar
How your family “manages sugar” will relate to your family’s
teeth and gums. As a parent or caregiver you have a lot of control over
what your family will eat. Anne & Sarah.
