Thanks to all who have been helping with the sausage sizzle. We have just
a few spaces to fill at the end of term, if you can spare 1-1½
hrs on a Friday morning please phone Dianne Taylor 439 1575.
BIBLE
Bible on Thursday from 12 —12.30pm in the school hall for the Senior
Syndicate.
PARKING
We have asked several times for parents NOT to park across gateways to
pick up and drop off children, both before and after school as well as
lunchtime. We are disappointed at the number of people who park vehicles
in inappropriate places. We have recorded 6 vehicle registration plates
this week and reported them to the police. The safety of children is paramount.
John Houston.
FUN WITH TE REO
Next Whanau Support Group Meeting is 19th August at 3.30pm in the DPS
staffroom. All welcome.
Shall I read you a story?
Maku e panui tetahi korero kia koe.
DENTAL CLINIC
It is important to eat a good breakfast but watch what cereal you are
eating. Cereal grains contain little sugar but processed cereals often
contain sucrose, glucose or honey. These add energy without nutrients
and also the sugar causes tooth decay. Make the right choice for your
teeth to start you off for the day. We recommend porridge with fruit as
a filling meal that will limit snacking on the way to school. Anne &
Sarah ph 439 4065.
TALENT QUEST
The finals for the Talent Quest will be on Friday 27th August 6.30pm to
approximately 9.00pm in the DPS Hall. Entry is gold coin koha.
