Thank you to all parents who offered their help in coaching, umpiring
and washing uniforms. Teams have been sorted and the first game is on
Saturday 15th May. The draw will be in the D & D News next Wednesday.
FITNESS & PE
It is that time of year again where the middle and senior syndicates participate
in their PE and fitness programmes. All children are expected to participate
in these unless they have a note from home or a doctors certificate. Children
are required to wear shorts and t-shirts during fitness and can put warm
clothes on before returning to their classes.
Lucky Book closing date for Issue 3 is 20th May. Parent help is needed
to reinforce the new dictionaries so they can go into the classrooms.
MAINLAND CHEESE COMPETITION
Room 6 &16 have entered a Nationwide competition that supports SAVE
the Yellow Eyed Penguin “Hoiho”. We are currently collecting
the corresponding stickers off the Mainland Cheese block and slice packs.
Please drop any of these into the office to support us in winning a trip
On 12th May all staff are attending a stop-work meeting to discuss contract
issues. Because of this there will not be enough staff to adequately supervise
classes. Therefore all town children will be sent home at 12.30pm. If
your child travels on a bus please make arrangements to collect them at

DARGAVILLE SWIMMING CLUB
Prizegiving on Friday 7th May in the Dargaville Intermediate Hall 6.30pm.
Please bring a plate for supper.
Starting Friday 7th May at the Dargaville Baptist Church. Friday nights
4-7pm for five weeks only. Come and be a “Desert Detective”
and find the buried treasure. Cost is $15.00 for the five weeks. Take

FISH FACTORY YOUTH
Friday 7th May, “Wild and Wacky Night” at the Baptist Church.
7.15pm Cost $2
Reading glasses which look like sunglasses with bright blue frames and
are in a vinyl case. Reward $50

Presents one show only held at Dargaville High on Wednesday12th May at
7pm. Door sales only. Adults $5 and children 15yrs and under $3

There will be no gymnastics this week due to instructor being ill. Monday
10th, for all children 12yrs and older, starting at 6pm and Wednesday
