PTA NEWS
Thank you to all the people who supported us with the Pizza Drive. We
raised approximately $900.
The winners of the raffles are Brian Burnett—Easter Teddy and Easter
Eggs, Douglas Conn—Cricket Gear.
SCHOOL PHOTOS
All going to plan we hope to have the photos back at the end of the first
week in Term 2.
NW KAI IWI TRIATHLON
Results from the Triathlon on Friday 2nd April are:

BIBLE
Bible on Thursday from 12 —12.30pm in the school hall for the senior
syndicate.
TEACHER AIDE POSITION
A part time position for a teacher aide has become available at DPS for
approximately 25 hours per week. This position would suit a person who
enjoys working with children with special needs, who have moderate to
high needs also supervision of small groups and assisting with the running
of a perceptual motor programme. If you are interested in this position
please call at the school office or phone for an application form and
further details.

Tama is boy, tamaiti is child and tamariki is children.
SCHOOL FEES
Just a reminder that school fees are due at $35 for the year. These are
tax deductible.
JMB NETBALL
Netball will be starting next Term with the date yet to be finalized.
Forms for all girls wanting to play will be available from the office
at the start of Term 2.
KAPA HAKA
Thanks to all those who provided transport to take the children to their
performance on Tuesday.

OTHER NEWS AND EVENTS.
OSCAR PROGRAMME
Family Link Childcare Oscar Programme will be running a school holiday
programme from Tuesday 13th April until Friday 23rd April. Copies of the
programme are available from Family Link Childcare Centre. A WINZ subsidy
is available to those who are eligible. Application forms are available
from the family link office.
Hours for the programme are 7.30am until 5.00pm each week day excluding
public holidays. We offer children lots of exciting activities and each
week there will be a bus trip away. Bookings for the programme are limited.

KIDS HOLIDAY PROGRAMME
Tuesday 20th April from 10am—12pm in the Presbyterian Church Hall
on the corner of Normanby and Parore Streets. For ages 5-10yrs, admission
is free. Games, drama, dancing, art & craft, music & singing,

MONSTER CAR BOOT SALE AND AUCTION
At the Tangiteroria Hall/Sports Complex. Easter Saturday 10th April 2004.
$2.00 entry fee, any goods considered (no livestock), goods not sold from
your boot can be auctioned at the end of the day, sales begin 10.00am
and auction 2.00pm. Refreshments will be available for sale and the bar
will be open. For more information phone Janet 433 2650. All proceeds
go to Tangiteroria School and the Tangiteroria Hall.
FAMILY CONCERT
Anzac Day, April 25th 2.30pm at The Northern Wairoa War Memorial Hall
(Town Hall) The Bayswood Quintet from Auckland’s North Shore with
guest artist Margo Knightbridge. Tickets $10 waged, $5 unwaged, $20 Family
ticket—2 adults and all the kids. All proceeds to Kaipara Palliative
Care. Tickets available from Morans Bookshop or phone Josie or Carolyn

TANGOWAHINE SCHOOL MONSTER
MOTORBIKE TRAIL RIDE
Tangowahine School are holding a motorbike trail ride on Sunday 18th April
2004. Ride begins 13km from Dargaville on SH 14, turn up Tangowahine Valley
Rd and follow the signs for 6km to the start on Youngers Farm. Enjoy riding
a 90km loop through Tangowahine Valley & Forests. Cost is $25 per
bike. Must bring your own bike, safety helmet (compulsory) and fuel ,
2, 3 and 4 wheelers are welcome. Food and drinks will be available to
buy all day. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all
times. Registration is 8.30am. Enter and ride at your own risk. Please
check in when completed race. Start, finish and lunch at the same place.
