Thank you to all the people who helped with the catering last night, and
to those people who donated food for the event.
Many thanks to Tracee Ballard, who donated a knitted teddy bear for our
Easter raffle. Teddy is surrounded by heaps of yummy easter eggs, and
tickets for this can be purchased from Polwarths for $1 a ticket.
Next meeting is 6th April, 7.30pm in the staffroom. Pizza’s will
be delivered on Wednesday 7th April and can be collected from the hall
from 2pm onwards.
JMB RUGBY
Rugby starts on Sunday 4th April 2004, at 9am at Rugby Park, Dargaville
with a 7 aside tournament. All registration weigh-ins will be done there
and subscriptions collected ($10). For all children aged 5yrs and older.

TE REO
Next whanau committee meeting 1st April 3.30pm in the DPS Staffroom. Matua
is parents, matua (papa) is father, dad. Whaea (koka, mama) is mother,
mum.
BIBLE
Bible on Thursday from 12 —12.30pm in the school hall for the middle
syndicate.
LIBRARY
The school Library is open until 4.00pm on Monday and Tuesdays. We have
voting cards available for the “NZ Post Book Awards”. A display
of the book finalists is set up in the Library. Please feel free to come
in with your children and read these books and post off your free voting
cards. All school library books must be returned by Monday 5th April before
the school holidays.
ROOM 9
Jenny Bishop will be away from school until the end of the Term. Diane
Simpson will be in Wednesday and Friday this week and on Thursday we have
Mrs Mary. We have Mellaina Christie relieving all of next week.

Voting Papers have been posted to eligible voters. If you do not receive
voting papers, it may be that we do not have your most recent address
on our files.
Please read voting instructions carefully to ensure your vote is not invalid.
Invalid Votes:
If your vote for more than 6 people.
If your vote is not clear.
If your vote is not on the original voting paper.
If your voting paper is handed in after noon on 2nd April.
If your voting paper is not in the envelope supplied.
If you have put more than 1 voting paper in the envelope supplied.
Voting papers can be handed in to the school office or posted.
If you are posting your votes, you must provide a stamp for the envelope.
To ensure the voting paper receives us on time, please post by 5pm 1st
April.
You may vote for as many candidates as you want, as long as it doesn’t
exceed 6. So if you only wish to vote for 3 people this is fine.
Results will be published in the local paper during the week of 13th April.
TEACHER AIDE POSITION
A part time position for a teacher aide has become available at DPS for
approximately 25 hours per week. This position would suit a person who
enjoys working with children with special needs, who have moderate to
high needs also supervision of small groups and assisting with the running
of a perceptual motor programme. If you are interested in this position
please call at the school office or phone for an application form and
further details.
ROOM 1
Thank you very much to all those people who donated videos and magazines
to Room 1. These were much appreciated. If anyone has Barbie dolls and
clothes they no longer use we would appreciate these.
ICT DINNER
The staff and management of the school would like to thank the PTA for
their expertise in the fine art of catering. It was appreciated by all
those who attended. THANK YOU.
KAPA HAKA
The Senior Multiculture Group will be performing at the Dargaville Rubgy
Club rooms next Tuesday 6th April. Also all children with signed permission
forms will walk to the High School on Wednesday 7th April to view the
Kapa Haka Festival.

FISH FACTORY YOUTH
Friday April 2nd, “The Great Egg Race,” at the Baptist Church
7.15pm. Cost $2 for all 10-12yr olds, all welcome.

OSCAR PROGRAMME
Family Link Childcare Oscar Programme will be running a school holiday
programme from Tuesday 13th April until Friday 23rd April. Copies of the
programme are available from Family Link Childcare Centre. A WINZ subsidy
is available to those who are eligible. Application forms are available
from the family link office.
Hours for the programme are 7.30am until 5.00pm each week day excluding
public holidays. We offer children lots of exciting activities and each
week there will be a bus trip away. Bookings for the programme are limited.

MONSTER CAR BOOT SALE AND AUCTION
At the Tangiteroria Hall/Sports Complex. Easter Saturday 10th April 2004.
$2.00 entry fee, any goods considered (no livestock), goods not sold from
your boot can be auctioned at the end of the day, sales begin 10.00am
and auction 2.00pm. Refreshments will be available for sale and the bar
will be open. For more information phone Janet 433 2650. All proceeds
go to Tangiteroria School and the Tangiteroria Hall.
