PTA NEWS
Next meeting is 6th April, 7.30pm in the staffroom. The PTA is catering
for a conference dinner on the 30th March (not April as stated in last
weeks newsletter) and are asking for donations of kumaras, potatoes, cabbages,
broccoli and carrots. Please phone Trish 439 4892 or Carlrine 439 7035
if you are able to help out with donations. Pizza forms are due back on
Friday 26th March.
SAUSAGE SIZZLE TERM 2: The lunchtime sausage sizzle was very popular last
year with children and parents. If you would like to see it happen again
and can spare 2 hours one Friday morning next term please give us a call
as we are drawing up the roster now. Please call Paula Powell 439 6256

JMB RUGBY
Rugby will start on Sunday 4th April 2004 at Rugby Park, Dargaville with
a 7 aside tournament. All registration weigh-ins will be done there and
subscriptions collected ($10). For all children aged 5yrs and older. Times
and teams to be advised. All children who wish to play this season are
asked to assemble in the DPS school hall next week on Thursday 25th March
after you have eaten your lunch. Any queries phone John Powell 439 6256(home),

SCHOOL PHOTOS
Payment needs to be returned with your form by 30th March. Please make
cheques payable to Sharron Booth.

Next whanau committee meeting 1st April 3.30pm in the DPS Staffroom. Ko
wai? Means who? Kotiro means girl.
NW KAI IWI TRIATHLON
Year 5 and 6 children are eligible to enter the triathlon on 2nd April
2004, held at the Kai Iwi Lakes. Children may do it as an individual or
in teams.
Forms should have been returned to the school by today. There will be
sausages, drinks and juices for sale on the day.
BIBLE
Bible will be commencing in school on Thursday 25th March, from 12 —12.30pm
in the school hall. It will start with the Juniors, Middle Syndicate will
be next week with the Senior Syndicate the week after.
DPS SWIMMING CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to the following age group Champion swimmers.

10yr boy—Kyle Hobson
Congratulations to all swimmers who participated at Northern Wairoa on
11th March you all achieved good results. Also our relay team, Kia Kokiri,
Kirsty Frame, Taryn Gillespie and Megan Clarke who won the Super 4 Relay
race. Well done!
BOARD OF TRUSTEES ELECTIONS
We have had 8 nomintions for the Board of Trustees. We will be holding
an election to determine the 6 positions available on the Board. Take
this opportunity to have your say.
Voting Papers will be posted to eligible voters this week. If you do not
receive voting papers, it may be that we do not have your most recent
address on our files.
Please read voting instructions carefully to ensure your vote is not invalid.
Invalid Votes:
If you vote for more than 6 people.
If your vote is not clear.
If you vote is not on the original voting paper.
If your voting paper is handed in after noon on 2nd April.
If your voting paper is not in the envelope supplied.
If you have put more than 1 voting paper in the envelope supplied.
Voting papers can be handed in to the school office or posted.
If you are posting your votes, you must provide a stamp for the envelope.
To ensure the voting paper receives us on time, please post by 5pm 1st
April.
You may vote for as many candidates as you want, as long as it doesn’t
exceed 6. So if you only wish to vote for 3 people this is fine.
Results will be published in the local paper during the week of 13th April.

Friday April 2nd, “The Great Egg Race,” at the Baptist Church
7.15pm. Cost $2 for all 10-12yr olds, all welcome.

“LAST STOMP” Friday 26th 6pm—9pm. Fun night open to
