School Choir. Don’t miss this exciting musical event, tickets available

SCHOOL ANSWER MACHINE
We have installed an answer machine to cover when the office is unattended
or when we’re busy on the phone. Please leave a message and we will
return your call asap. This will be handy for after hour’s calls
to report children absent. The office hours are 8am—4pm.
Our pencil sharpeners have not been of good quality this year with many
breaking and being replaced, only to break again. We have now changed
the brand. As the new ones are not as expensive as the others we have
been replacing the broken ones as well as giving the children a pencil.
If your child’s sharpener breaks please send them to the office
for a replacement.
CLASS ACT OPERA
On the 4th March “Class Act Opera” is coming to our school.
This is opera at children’s level, with some participation from
the children. Cost per child is $2.50 to be paid to their teacher.
With typical heroes and villains the story starts off as a gloriously
sunny day at an idyllic New Zealand beach, our heroine, Adina, saunters
across stage and settles herself into her beach chair to read and soak
up some sun. Our eventually to be hero, Nemorino, spots her coming and
hides so as to admire Adina anonymously.
Electric toothbrushes do a good job.
All senior syndicate children and children in the middle syndicate aged
8 as at the 1st January 2003 and able to swim a length of the town pool
will be going to swimming sports tomorrow. Any queries contact your child’s
teacher. Sausages and drinks will on sale at the pool for $1.00 each.
A decision regarding postponement will be made tomorrow morning but will
go ahead if the weather is like today’s, so please ensure your child
has warm clothing and a few towels.
