Middle Syndicate:
4th & 5th March – Rooms 4 and 5;
6th & 7th March – Rooms 2 and 3.
Senior Syndicate:
12, 13, 14th March—Rooms 6 and 17;
17, 18, 19th March—Rooms 7, 16 and 18.
More details regarding camps will be sent home by the class teacher soon.
PTA MEETING
18th February at 7.30pm in the staffroom. New members welcome, supper
will be provided.
CENTRAL BAND OF THE RNZAF
On Tuesday 25th February 2003 the 65 member Central Band of the RNZAF
will be at the Dargaville Town Hall to present a fun and exciting entertainment
programme to as many of the regions school pupils as possible, as part
of our annual concert tour. The Central Band is the only full size, professional
Symphonic Band in New Zealand, and features all woodwind, reed, brass
and percussion instruments as well as a corps of drummers. We present
a programme that is entertaining and educational and offers a rare opportunity
for pupils to enjoy a live performance displaying a wide selection of
musical instruments and styles. The cost to schools will be $1.00 per
person so to secure our booking please pay $1.00 to your class teacher
by Friday 14th February.

JUNIOR CRICKET
Cricket has started on Saturdays for all juniors playing at the High School
and Intermediate.
SPELD NZ INC
Specific Learning Disabilities Federation are holding two courses which
represent excellent opportunities for professional development and both
deal with a topic often covered only lightly at training establishments.
Teacher Training Course for Specific Learning Disabilities.
(The basic requirement is a teaching certificate (any level, pre-school
to tertiary)
Parent & Teacher Aide Course
No prior specialist knowledge is assumed. The course was designed to help
parents understand better the problems experienced by their children and
to give teacher aides some help with their students. In fact the course
has been acclaimed by veteran teacher aides providing new insights.
For more information and costs of courses there are leaflets available
at the school office.
FUN BEGINNERS SWIMMING CARNIVAL
Dargaville Public Swimming Pool, Saturday 8th February. Warm up 3.00pm,

$7 entry fee for the day (maximum of 5 races) Must be a member of your
swimming club (Dargaville, Te-Kopuru, Maungaturoto etc)

JUNIOR SYNDICATE
11th February.
Rooms 10,11,12,13 at 3.15---3.45pm
Room 9 will start 2.15pm. All parents/caregivers to go to their child’s
classroom.
MIDDLE SYNDICATE
—Thursday 13th February.
Staffroom, 3.30 pm.
This will be a meeting for all parents of children in Syndicate two. It
will give you an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher. We will
be going over classroom routines, expectations of the children and discussing
the camp.
SENIOR SYNDICATE
Tuesday 18th February. Rooms 6, 7, 16,17,18 will be held in the staffroom
at 3.30pm. This is where we will outline our programme and expectations
for the year, afterwards there will coffee, tea and biscuits available
and you will have a chance to chat to individual teachers.
We look forward to meeting with you. If you require an opportunity to
discuss your child’s progress in detail please make an appointment
with the teacher.
